ABOUT MOTION SICKNESS

Originally from the Philippines, Motion Sickness is a Filipino artist/musician, a drummer and beatmaker producer. My involvement in music started when I was in my teenage years. Back then, me and several of my friends decided to form a band that heavily focused on metal. I became the drummer of the band and we played mostly cover songs. We identify ourselves as a NU metal group covering tracks from bands like Korn, Deftones, Slapshock, Greyhoundz, Papa Roach, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine and P.O.D.

Midway through the 2000's, I have been playing on different amateur bands, and being involved in almost all subgenre of rock. I've been on several live performances from school to parties and pubs. Also had been involved in battle of the bands contest.

In 2011, I had to move to New Zealand because of my profession being a registered nurse. That was also the last time I was in a band.

From 2011 until 2016, I had not been involved in music. In 2017, I started to be active again by starting to play an app called Real Drum which made me reminisce those moments when I used to be in a band.

In 2020, I started to write songs about the pandemic and about injustice and racism which led to violent acts in America  and around the world. By mid 2020, I became engaged in music production after speaking to my previous bandmate about djing. I am producing music in EDM, Pop, House and its sub genre.

In September of 2020, I have released my very first single which is "Way You Feel" and a month later, I have released and EP album called "Electricity Overload".
